Lora Amyx-Gorman G.G. (GIA), ISA AM

We are Graduate Gemologists (Gemological Institute of America). We received our diplomas in residence at the Carlsbad, California campus in 1997.  We are jewelry appraisers and are Accredited Members of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA). We have also earned USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) certifications from The Appraisal Foundation.

We have worked directly in all major aspects of the jewelry industry: wholesale, retail, consignment, appraisal, quality assurance, design, fabrication, and repair.

We currently serve as Denton’s only accredited, USPAP compliant, Gemologist appraisers. We are trained to write appraisals for Federal functions and to USPAP standards.

 
Who We Are

We are siblings and native Dentonites!

We appreciate the support of our spouses, Monica Amyx and Calvin Gorman, and of our mother, Elaine Amyx. 

For unconditional love and support, Joe has a daughter, Aliya Valencia Amyx, and a cat.  Lora has a dog and three cats.
